No connection for 30 minutes

I lost my connection for approx 30 minutes this evening 7.15 to 7.45 ish. I rebooted the router a couple of times and nothing happened. Left it a while and rebooted the router again and the connection came back on.
I don't recall this happening before, was it just me or was it a wider problem?

A friend just called me from Ambleside saying he has no broadband connection this morning on Force 9. His phone line is OK. Is there a BT problem in that area today?

Hi James
I can't see his exchange on the list.
Anyway he turned his router off for 20 minutes. He just turned it back on and he is now connected and all is wonderful in Ambleside
