Re: Network/Hub Keeps Disconnecting

Thanks again - that says quite clearly you should be getting much better speeds than you are.

Re: Network/Hub Keeps Disconnecting

True, i guess i will have to book an hour of patience and try navigate through the call centre to someone who can advise. I have just double checked, im supposed to get min speed of 43mb/s and router shows it to be pretty much log jammed at 39.9mb/s so i have at least some justification in questioning this and the regular dropouts.

Re: Network/Hub Keeps Disconnecting

I think the two are related, but until your dropouts are sorted, very little will improve. Hopefully, @Townman 's 'nudge' will achieve something in that direction - I wouldn't place much faith in the call centre.

Re: Network/Hub Keeps Disconnecting

Minimum speed of 43mbps?  Not on the 40/10 provision you appear to be on.  That points clearly to a provisioning “mistake”.

The max (potential) DS along precisely with the bottom of the forecast speed … oddly coincidental?

There is clearly a fault - not all faults are detected by the broadband fault tests.  The phone test does a better job of testing the copper circuit - I do not know if that can be used in a SoGEA service.

In recent times we would have called on @Marsh or @Windings to pipe clean this kind of complex issue.  In this new paradigm it is to be hoped that the issue can be triaged to a team leader for review.

No fault seems unlikely … there is the possibility that your is could be RFI induced.  Is there any pattern to the disconnections?  Remind me, what’s the router?  Is it compatible with routerstats?  See the link below.

Re: Network/Hub Keeps Disconnecting

@Townman The router is a Hub2.

Hub2.
I cannot discern a pattern, sometimes nothing for a while then a whole host of them seemingly at random.

Hub 2 impossible to monitor other than by after the event inspection of the log.
