Alternately you could just buy a decent Wireless Access Point, with WiFi specifications that match the devices you're using, and plug it in to your Plusnet router, and then switch off the WiFi of the Plusnet Hub.
Using your own Wireless Access Points, means that you are in control of the WiFi quality in your home, and independent from the limitations of ISP supplied equipment.

Plusnet are not a bad company but the WiFi speeds have always been disappointing.
Are you sure that it is and you mean "WiFi" speed, as opposed to "broadband" speed? Many people talk of "WiFi" speed when they really mean their "broadband" speed.
If your issue really is the speed of WiFi connections (LAN connected devices are fine) then the advice offered by @outcast will help address that concern. Note that there is no assurance that Sky's WiFi will be any better using their similarly basic router.
However, if the real issue here is broadband speed, then you are not likely to see much, if any, difference. There is something of a con passed around that different ISPs might be faster than another ISP. For the same product offer, they are all delivered over the same BT Wholesale / BT Openreach infrastructure. Changing ISPs does not change the delivery to the property, which is the essential factor in the speed you get.
It is akin to changing who you pay for your gas - it comes through the same pipe and it is the same gas. It smells the same and it burns the same.
