Line speeds increasing

Is anyone else seeing anything like this?

I'm something like 800 metres from the Fibre Cabinet

In April 2024 my line stats looked like this :

Now they look like this

VR600 showed

Now it shows

I'm not complaining of course but was wondering what is going on?

Re: Line speeds increasing

Lines will have some level of variability - weather, dampness, interference.  These are marginal differences, so nothing to be concerned about.

I recently looked at my Sam Knows long term history and found that has been increasing slowly over the years.

Re: Line speeds increasing

My line has been getting faster too,  I put it down to reduced crosstalk on my 525m line, due to many people abandoning Openreach FTTC and moving over to a full fibre AltNet,  and the reduced use of PSTN voice calls as people have converted to VoIP.

Oddly the BT availability checker VDSL line speed values no longer reflect reality, when they used to be quite accurate -
