Do we have another Plusnet DNS problem?

Everything started degrading a little while ago, rebooting the router did nothing, but changing to Goggles DNS makes (most) things work fine.

I note that the Member Centre also seems to be down!

Member Centre is down for me too, don't use PN DNS but not seeing any other issues.

Re: Do we have another Plusnet DNS problem?

Seems like it. Had an outage here too. I was sure I had added backup DNS but evidently not…

Same here using Google's DNS.

Same here, Plusnet DNS not working on 212.159.6.9 or 212.159.13.49.  Switching to Google DNS works.

Re: Do we have another Plusnet DNS problem?

I've just updated my Deco to use 4.4.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 and service is restored

Re: Do we have another Plusnet DNS problem?

@dvorak I've just switched my PlusNet router to Google DNS, though a couple of my devices were set to that anyway.

Member Centre now showing a login page - eventually.

4.4.4.4 is not generally recommended as it's not a Primary. Google is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Cloudfare is 1.1.1.1.

Re: Do we have another Plusnet DNS problem?

Called Plusnet who said they had a small DNS problem. Solved now. Small!

Re: Do we have another Plusnet DNS problem?

DNS problems do seem to be a bit of "a thing" with Plusnet.

Odd really as I would expect any change to DNS to be highly controlled.

Re: Do we have another Plusnet DNS problem?

Does anyone know how to change DNS servers on a Plusnet Hub One? The settings don't seem to be editable.

I too cannot login to the Member Centre and all other authentication (email etc) fails.

Re: Do we have another Plusnet DNS problem?

You can’t alter them on a Hub One. You have to add them onto as many individual devices as you can instead – and not all will allow you to do that either.
