Design parameters for broadband connection

Quote
Thank you for your update, broadband is not designed to stay up all the time, it was designed to drop at least once a day, once a day should not be regarded as a problem as a router should reconnect straight away. What you tend to find with connections that stay up for longer than a day can tend to get sluggish and end up needing a reboot anyway.

Re: Design parameters for broadband connection

Mine drops on average every couple of hours - therefore it should never get sluggish Huh

This little gem also came from a ticket -

The work what BT did to stabilise your connection is valid.
If the SNR does increase back to 9dB due to the drop-out occurring daily, this is not something we can get BT to investigate further.
SNR is designed to vary slightly throughout the day and this is mainly down to physical line conditions or any other interference on the line which is not causing an serious issue with the broadband service.
As such, I am sorry that we cannot do anything further in relation to this, however should you have any further questions then please get back to us.
