DSL connection dropping – seeking stability

Hi all,
I’m experiencing repeated DSL sync drops over the last few days. This is not a Wi-Fi or device issue.
What’s happening:
Router remains powered on and stable
Broadband/DSL light drops from green → orange blinking → orange steady, then retrains
DSL uptime keeps resetting, while router/system uptime continues
Drops often happen in clusters (e.g. twice within a few minutes)
Setup:
Plusnet Hub Two
Always connected directly to the master socket
No extensions, no internal wiring changes
This is the second router to show identical behaviour (previous one was replaced last year for the same issue)
Line stats (from hub):
Connection type: ADSL2+
Downstream sync: ~15.3 Mbps
Max attainable: ~17 Mbps
Downstream noise margin ~7 dB
Latency: Interleaved
From what I understand, the noise margin is fairly marginal, which would explain the intermittent loss of sync when noise increases.
What I’m looking for: I want stability over speed. I’m happy to trade a little throughput if it stops the resyncs.
Could a Plusnet staff member please:
Raise the target noise margin / apply a stability profile,
or
Arrange line monitoring / investigation for an intermittent fault (e.g. noise or HR issue)
Snapshot line tests appear fine, but this looks like a classic intermittent sync issue rather than a constant fault.
Thanks in advance for any help or escalation.

Re: DSL connection dropping – seeking stability

@RFraenken Two things - Do you have the option of FTTC or Full Fibre - both would give you better stability, with FF being the best option if available?

Can you export your Hubs eventlog, and attach the resulting csv file to a post?

Re: DSL connection dropping – seeking stability

I’ve checked availability at my address and can confirm that neither FTTC nor Full Fibre is currently available, so ADSL is the only option for now.
I’ve exported the Hub’s event log and attached the CSV file to this post as requested.
Given the marginal noise margin and intermittent resyncs, I’d like to prioritise stability over speed, and I’m happy for the line to run at a lower sync rate if that improves reliability.

Re: DSL connection dropping – seeking stability

Thanks for confirming your service options - you must be in a remote location if ADSL is your only option.

With regards to the event log, I would respectfully suggest you raised a fault via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/ - that frequency of disconnects suggests more than a 'marginal noise margin' - in fact I would go as far as to suggest a major network issue.
