Hi @Pnnoakes
Your current DLM profile is "0.128M-40M Downstream, Retransmission Low - 0.128M-20M Upstream, Error Protection Off" so it's unlikely to be solely DLM at fault as your sync speed would be closer to 40Mbps.
How do you have things setup at the moment?

Hi, something must have changed somewhere shown below;
In your house - You said there are no changes.
Eternally with the network - Coincidence by possible.
DLM - I am unsure of the full working but I presume it will manage the sync rate with settings other than the speed profile(banding) like SNR perhaps after the reboot, it thinks the lower sync rate is better.
As your sync rate is lower than the minimum of 36.2Mbps for either of these issues we could do with raising a fault. First, to be sure of no internal issues could you send some pics of the back of the router and phone socket please?

I might be looking at this totally wrong, but the profile quoted by @MatthewWheeler above looks wrong - 40/20? - not possible!

@jab1 - The line is banded at 40Mbps but this isn't impacting the customer as his sync is less than the 40Mbps banding. I've checked the provisioned speed and it is 80/20 confirming the 0.128M-40M is banding

Cheers, @James30 . So we need to establish why it is banded? I'll not comment further until some checks have been done.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve attached photos of the master socket and router back as requested. I’ve also included screen shots of the xdsl stats page and two pages of speed test history. Clearly I can’t attest to any changes at the exchange or street box, but nothing has changed internally.
Reading the replies, I would query why the line is banded at 40mb, when the Speedtest results show I have previously achieved higher sync speeds. (The Speedtest results are via a iPhone 14 pro over wireless and generally return a figure 10% below the actual sync rate at the router). Having recorded 39/40mb Speedtest results last year, this evidences a true sync speed nearer 44mb.
The xdsl page today shows 34999kb and any attempt to restart the router reverts to this exact same sync speed, so this suggests to me it is being actively managed somewhere to that exact rate.
In summary, last year I was getting 44mb sync speeds. Now I appear to be limited to 35.9mb. I renewed a contract based on prior performance and I’m no longer getting it, so you can understand the frustration. Thanks again for continued help to resolve this.

@Pnnoakes There is nothing wrong with your connections, but I note your downstream SNR in that screenshot is 9.3dB - high, and suggestive of an error state somewhere, which is why you are banded.
I suspect you don't have /don't use a landline phone?

No, it won't, but if you have a handset, indulge me please - plug it in and run the Quiet Line test - dial 17070, select option 2. There should be no noise after your number is confirmed, other than the regular 'Quiet Line Test'' message. If there is, report a phone fault.

@jab1 In my opinion it seems perfectly obvious that despite what Plusnet have said the line is banded at 35Mbps giving the high SNRM figure.
@Pnnoakes If you are restarting the router and the sync speed is always the same that confirms that the line is banded, there have been cases similar to yours in the past because one the diagnostic tools that Plusnet use does not actually show the current profile but one that is a couple of weeks out of date.
@MatthewWheeler Can you confirm the current line profile because 40/20 doesn't look correct.

That more than likely will solve it, but it may take a while for DLM system to react, although you should be able to request a reset when the problem is solved.
