Once again I am experiencing my connection dropping out.I reported it last month for doing this and was advised it was an outside fault. I was told it was fixed. It was fine for about a week or so and then its been happening quite badly over the last 4/5 days. Speeds are dropping too. I have again reported it to Plusnet and advised its an outside fault.
Is anyone else having these problems?
Thanks

Whether anyone else is having this problem is irrelevant, you have one and all that you can do is report it again.
From your history it sounds like you are connected via a deteriorating line, possibly aluminium cored, rather than copper. The only guaranteed long term solution is to move to Full Fibre, if it’s available. Log into your account and see if there’s an upgrade option to Full Fibre.

Hi Baldrick1 and thanks for your reply. There are 2 options for me, Full Fibre 145.,I think would be adequate for my needs.

Unless your landline phone is important to you, then it’s a no brainer, solve the problem by starting again with an upgrade to FF. If you want to keep your landline phone then Plusnet will transfer you to EE without and cancellation fees. This will result in your email address and all emails kept on the Plusnet servers to be lost. Alternatively follow advice on these fora re setting up a VoIP service with a third party provider.
If you can tolerate your current connection until the transfer of any email address to Greenby is complete, you can move ISP and keep any Plusnet email addresses.

Start thinking about what you want to do about your landline.
If the answer is "cease it", that's fine.
Otherwise, be aware that Plusnet don't do landlines over full fibre.
Also it's a new "wire" to install (actually it's a fibre) so where do you want that to end up?

Yes, a fibre will need to be installed.
This needs (usually) a new hole in the wall, a box outside and a small cover on the inside with a small extra powered box (the ONT) inside.
Think it through before the installer comes.
