I am a bit confused because on the 16th Aug. I noticed my speed had reduced a fraction. Plusnet showed my profile as 1250 and I accepted this as just another blip to correct itself in a few days. Watched sync for a few days and it was over 1800. Checked BT speedtest on 17th August and sure enough profile was 1500. Did a speed test and still under 1250. Went to Plusnet site and my profile was still showing 1250. Raised a question and after much toing and froing until the 20th, it seems according to plusnet, bt are saying my profile is 1250, yet my own test on BTspeedtest both on the 19th and 20th shows 1500. Why would BT be giving different results to Plusnet and myself. Anybody know the answer.
I have been above 1800 for over three days now so I should be on 1500.

Is it the IP profile when running the BT Speedtest that's returned as 1500? I've just tried running a DLM status check on your IP profile is returned as 1250. I'll up it to 1500 at this end anyway to see if it will make any difference but I shouldn't think it will TBH.

Thanks Bob. Yes to your question and no there hasn't been any change in speed yet. Still just around 1200. Never seem to have had this discrepency before. Will try again in a couple of days. The downside of living out in the sticks!

Bob
Just rebooted my router. Lower sync (1728 noise margin 14db) but speed now gone past 1250 to the 1400 mark. Thanks.

Very odd!
Glad to hear it's sorted though.
