BT Speedtester

Has anyone tried the BT speedtest on 21CN yet?
http://www.speedtester.bt.com
Just trying on my test line in the office and at home which were both installed this week and getting speeds below 100kbps (other speedtests are fine) and had a customer saying the same so wondering if there's any pattern.
Tried Safar on the test line on a Mac and IE on my home line on Windows 2K. Would be useful to gather feedback on what works or doesn't work as the case may be say that we can raise it as an issue (or identify what combination of browser/OS works) so if a few people could give it a go would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: BT Speedtester

It worked fine for me earlier, although the speed was constrained by my PN profile still being 7150.

Re: BT Speedtester

It's just worked for me (on the old network) from NW England, but took longer than usual to get through the phone number check.

Re: BT Speedtester

I can't use it for obvious reasons.
It;s been giving rubbish results on ADSL and ADSL2+ for months/years

Re: BT Speedtester

just managed to get a bt speed test done. the results cam back as what i would suspect why i was downloading shameless off 4OD
1500kbps ish on a 3000kbps profile.
if my line keeps its current adsl2 sync rate going till tomoro daylight i can smell a 3500kbps profile coming Cheesy

Ta, be interested to see if anyone else on 21CN gets the ~100kbps speeds myself and the other customer were seeing.

Re: BT Speedtester

Cheers, those are more like what I'm seeing on the 2 lines I tried it on. We'll get that one fed back to BT after the bank holiday.

Re: BT Speedtester

Yep same here for me too.  TBH, BT should be ashamed of themselves. Its got to be the most unreliable speedtester there is, and BT say they need it to raise Speedtest faults.  I say get the damn thing fixed or scrap it for something better,

Re: BT Speedtester

Had a BT engineer round.
One of the first things he said was "you know those BT speedtester results aren't reliable, don't you?" Smiley
