@jab1

It is low, looking at the event log it's always been that way.

may be the line has been provisioned for speed rather than stability.

Re: Annual visit to the Forum due to resetting broadband connections

@Ian06 Understand what you are saying, but I am still a little confused about the low SNR figure on such a long line. When I was on  ADSL (and later FTTC), my SNR was always around 6dB, and that was on a 400m copper connection.

As you say, it has always been low, so it may have been provisioned for speed, but personally, I would prefer stability.

Re: Annual visit to the Forum due to resetting broadband connections

Noise test done. All clear. Had my wife check it as well and she can hear me fart from 30 miles away so it must be good.

Looked at EE 5g modem last time around but they could only guarantee similar speeds up and down. Will maybe look again this year.

It does seem to happen at the same time of year. Winter and the cold weather it seems fine.

Thanks for your help so far.

Re: Annual visit to the Forum due to resetting broadband connections

Hiya gents.

Thanks for the input so far.

I suspect you are saying that the SD peed Vs stability balance on my line isn't quite right. It does seem that this problem only occurs in the summer as we never see these sorts of resets and buffering over the winter time.

Any suggestions as to the next steps or DK I just have to live with the fact that a 2km last leg from the box to my house by is always going to have these problems.

Thanks.
