well the signs are good....viewing figures were huge for Dave so everything crossed that they commision another one !!!

It shouldn't need a reboot!
You might find the current line speed on this page needs updating to match your new IP Profile speed which will be 88.2% of your sync speed.

2 rebots but alas still good old 6.5Mb Sad anything else that I might need to do to see that little bit of extra speed ?

Can you run a BT diagnostic speedtest please. That will confirm if the BT end has completed successfully. If it has it just needs a small setting at the Plusnet end and all will be fine.

Hmmm... That doesn't look right.
Can you post the stats from your router please. (including specifically sync speed, attenuation and noise margin)

Is there a page which says which ADSL mode it is using? It will either be "ADSL1", "ADSL2" etc or something like G.992.1.

tried forcing to ADSL2+ & ADSL2 but no connection put to ADSL (not Auto) and link back up....would I need to chnage VCI from 38 or VPI from 0 which are their current settings ?

There's nothing more you can do - something has obviously gone wrong with the order to move you to ADSL2+
