Re: 21CN-Exchange-Availability checker

Is this what you're looking for: https://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search

From a phone number it can tell you what services are available at an exchange.
This is my personal Community Forum account to help out around these parts while I'm at home. If I'm posting from the 1st March 2020, this means I'm off-duty with no access to internal systems.

Re: 21CN-Exchange-Availability checker

The SamKnows exchange checker has not been updated for the exchanges that have been more recently (within the last several months) upgraded for WBC ADSL2+.

The most authoritative and updated checker should be:

Re: 21CN-Exchange-Availability checker

Thanks; neither SAM or Exchange Checker show 21CN available on my exchange, but PN have advised I'l be migrating to it soon, which should double my upload speed too possibly.

"Harry B said 'I've also noticed 21CN is available'"

So I assume they've got more up to date data set available to them; OR  link kindly provided does show:

There are no left in jumpers available on this line. This line is on a Market A Exchange.

There is an open order on your line which is due to complete by 27-Apr-2016.

Re: 21CN-Exchange-Availability checker

My change to 21CN has made a substantial improvement in upload & D/load speeds;
surprised as I am on long line and at end of our village. (5.1 km by road from Exchange).

Heading in direction of 4mbps it seems Smiley  Smiley

And prior to this stability on line was really awful with several disconnections a day.

Re: 21CN-Exchange-Availability checker

There's room yet for improvement on that SNRM!

Please perform a quiet line test - dial 17070 select option 2 using a corded phone plugged into the test socket behind the face plate of the master socket. It should be silent.

Moderator's note by Mike (Mav)
I have reset the fix to Oldjim as it was his post that gave the required link.

When Mav worked his magic, I saw a "Mav has accepted YOUR fix..." Flash message.  Is this on your lithium bug list?  I've also just discovered that the flash messages are clickable! Smiley

I wish clicking on a flash message would open it in another tab, thoughWink

Ooooo! Just realised that lithium did not self capitalise - when was this fix deployed? Funny

Edit: Note I did not put the capital "L" in Lithium above (nor here) - do wish they would drop this self grandeur in presuming that any and all reference to the chemical element is intended to refer to their company name requiring it to be changed to a proper noun.

For what it's worth, I've done some digging around and found what's causing this. You should now be able to say lithium without it auto-replacing it with Lithium.

Re: 21CN-Exchange-Availability checker

Speed test still shows upload at 0.3, whereas router 0.9 Sad

Why the big variance; far less variance on d/load, 3.6/2.7.

On cord phone line is quiet.

Can you run a BT speedtest, doing the further diagnostics after the first test completes? http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/
