Speed getting slower

Hello,
The ADSL2+ sync speed is getting slower on my line. Initial speeds were in the 8000 Kbps range and now the latest one is 3000 Kbs.
Router plugged into NTE5. No extensions on line. Just a phone.
I have checked the exchange status and no problems reported.
The stats below were done a few minutes ago.

Re: Speed getting slower

I went to the link you sent me to and reported the intermittent fault you said I have. I even quoted this thread.

It's in hand with the Faults Team now, they will be in touch after completing manual testing.

Re: Speed getting slower

There has been no update to ticket 34413907 for 48 hours now.
Can someone at Plusnet please give me some news...?
Even an honest 'Oops we forgot about him' would be appreciated.

Re: Speed getting slower

I've now only got the ADSL router plugged into the test socket as per the request.
I cannot use the phone to call your faults team because they want it unplugged. I refuse to call 0845 numbers on the mobile.

Re: Speed getting slower

Your connection has been perfectly stable since your moved the router to the test socket, but the line has been stable for ~ 30 hours in the previous configuration. As such, we need to monitor the line further to see if it remains stable and gets back up to your expected speed. The Faults Team have your update on your faults ticket and will be in touch in due course.

Re: Speed getting slower

Before I plugged in the router to the test socket my router said it was only connected for 6 hours. For the record, my router has not been disturbed for a week before being plugged into the test socket. No power loss as it is powered via a Uninterruptible Power Supply.
I believe there is an intermittent connection. Please tell Openreach that a few days after my phone line was installed some engineers did some re-wiring outside my address. I believe that's when my connection became flaky.
So what time scale are we talking about before you have a definite answer to the slow speed problem?
