Checked here because I also dropped for a while.
I don't need to cycle my router for 15 minutes / an hour if I've connected now, do I?

It must have covered the whole country. I can see that I also lost my connection down here in deepest Dorset. On the plus side I now know that Ptw-bng01 is a cracking gateway, I've added it to my list of favourites.

I've just checked mine - up for 31 hours (it was in the thousands). Turns out my connection may have dropped at around 3am on the 22/8/2014.
It may be the ping collector though as a customer who is in the next town also had zero response to pings at exactly this time but two separate ping collectors returned the same outage.
Here are the outages reported by my monitor :
My customer in Northampton on BT Business ADSL Broadband
My connection (Plusnet FTTC)
Connected to last nights outage ?

Unfortunately we've experienced further issues which have caused a significant drop in end user sessions across our broadband network.
This will have caused a large volume of customers to lose connectivity to the Internet.
Our network engineers are investigating.
If you are struggling to connect to the Internet then please try powering off your modem or router for an hour or so before powering it back up and attempting to re-establish a connection to the Internet.
We'll provide another later today.
Apologies again for any inconvenience.
Kind regards,
Adam Walker
