New IP Profile but speeds unchanged

After my new router (Draytek Vigor 2710n) had been running for 10 days I realised I had left the Modulation setting on the ADSL Max G.DMT.
I changed it to ADS2+  (G.992.5) today and 2 hours later was pleased to find my IP Profile on the BT speedtester now showed 19.48Mbps,
up from the old 7.17Mbps.
However, my actual download speeds remain around 6.6Mbps as they have always been under ADSL Max.
Is there something else I need to change to enable the faster downloads or will it change up nearer the profile rate over time?
Thanks for any guidance
Chris

Re: New IP Profile but speeds unchanged

It will likely be the PlusNet profile https://portal.plus.net/m...ction=data_transfer_speed which hasn't caught up with the BT Profile change yet. It should catch up within 24 hrs but sometimes it doesn't.
You could always try calling support and asking them to set your PlusNet profile to match the BT one.

HI strokedriver,
I see that's been done for you. Nice speed you have there.
