Hey there,
Just got PN broadband activated today, but the connection keeps dropping out, when it is connected I can use the internet but always drops out.
Any advice on how to sort this?
Cheers

Hi there,
You certainly are disconnecting;

Is the DSL light on your modem turning off/flashing?If not are you able to try a PPPoE connection?
Please try Matt's suggestion, for some reason I thought you were on fibre

To add to the above, is the router plugged into the master socket and is everything plugged into the line done so through a microfilter? If not, please try that and see if it makes a difference.

I am confused - old age probably
Is the OP on fibre as Chris seems to suggest when they should have had a nice new filtered faceplate.
Or is he on ADSL in which case Matt is correct but I would then suggest trying the test socket behind the lower half of the master socket

Thanks for the replies, it seems to be working, and has been connected for longer, is there anyway to increase my upload speed at all, though i'll wait the 10 days to see how things go.
Also I'm connected to the test socket and have been for awhile, had no problems on Wednesday before SKY disconnected us yesterday so I think it was either the microfilter or the fact we've just been activated.
