I had issues the other day regarding connecting to the right modulation. This has been rectified but the speeds are still way below what they should be... 11mb line but only receiving 4mb.
The upload it syncing way higher than I am getting to.
DSL
Line Status:Connected
DSL Modulation Type:ADSL_2plus
Annex Type:Annex A/L/M
Upstream Downstream
Current Rate (Kbps) 440 4544
Max Rate (Kbps) 600 10404
SNR Margin (dB) 16.4 9.8
Line Attenuation (dB) 16.3 33.4
Errors (Pkts) 0 0
The SNR fluctuating between 6 and 12 with the downstream doing the same between 8000-12000. For some reason it disconnected a couple of times a couple of days ago and the upload sync nearly halved.
I am now on the unlimited package.
If you could be so kind and reset this line in every shape and form plus un-cap my upload I would be a very happy chappy.
Thank you for you time.
Rich
P.s. forgot to mention my line has such a hissing sound on the phone. It is a wireless phone mind; not sure if this would make a difference.

A test of the phone service is picking up a potential loop fault but that could well be cause by your equipment, as Jelv says I'd try another handset plus I'd also like to do another test with everything disconnected from the line so I can see if the results vary.

After Adam has done his testing, if that finds nothing, Plusnet will want to monitor your connection and if the new firmware has improved things they'll try removing the banding.

I've tested your line again and it's still showing as a fault detected, this will require an engineer appointment. I tried to call you to confirm this but it seems the mobile number on your account may be incorrect?
We have engineer availability from Wednesday 1st May, either AM or PM slots. What would be good for you?

I am available on that day and AM would be marvelous. Much appreciated.
My mobile is offline at the moment but the number will soon be valid once again.
I have sent a fault ticket on the plusnet website. I'm not sure if you can delete it or something of similar intent so as not to waste anybodies time.
Thank you very much.

I wasn't sure whether to make another post or add to this so went for the latter.
The engineer has been out and replaced a wire from the main box to the master socket. The box was in the loft.. ah! the old british telecom.. doing it the wrong way
Now on the unlimited package.
Is there any chance to get a line reset and an uncapping on the upload please? I share a home with 2 other people and I like to game.. but so much lag!! 😞
Thank you for all your help you've given me. Much appreciated and stress relieving.
