The BT Speedtest site keeps returning an error. I have followed all instructions. Closed all apps, connected directly to my FTTC router via PPoE, re-installed Java.
Is anyone else having the same problem?

There may be a valid reason why the BT speedtest needs to be run. All other tests won't tell you your profile for instance.
BT FTTC speedtest working fine for me. Be aware that the speedtest is very unpredictable and can work sometimes and not others. It is how it has always been. Try again tomorrow.

Yes, you're right - I do need the stats that only the BT test gives. I have been trying every day since the 26/7 when my FTTC was installed and no joy. Can't get any stats from modem as it is locked by BT, and not buying one just for stats.
What are you doing to get it to work? is it IE9?

The BT Speedtester kills Firefox 5.0 on Ubuntu 11.04 here, with whatever the last official Ubuntu version of Java is. I'm also having issues with the software centre and haven't had any Ubuntu updates for at least a fortnight.
Might be time for a fresh install...
