I get the same response if I go there using IPaddress:port or domain:port - gives me an 'authentication required' window marked ipcamera_*****. If I close the login window the attached image displays; clicking Sign in (using FireFox) gives the login window again.
So it appears to be working for me.

You didn't need to set up a Pro account - the DNS was working before.
Where are you testing it from?

Have you rebooted your router or taken the DynDNS out of it - it's now giving a different IP.

That is great thanks. It is working. I got someone else to check it and it works OK.
The problem I am still having is my router is still giving the error:
DDNS Status > Registration Failed
(See grab)
Wit this failing it won't update my IP when it changes. I have raised this with the DynDNS support.
I am more than happy paying $15 for a pro account as I will need it anyway.

@crusty: I don't think your problem is because of the free account, so the Pro account isn't necessary for this purpose... but if you have other need for it, then it shouldn't be a problem either.
The settings you are giving are indeed the only ones needed.
The log makes it look like the router failed to communicate with the DynDNS server. This could be caused by:
- Router has an out-of-date client
- Router not supported by DynDNS
- Router could not perform DNS lookup for the DynDNS server namer (their name, not yours)
- Router's firewall blocks the access
I would probably check these things out:
- Have you got the latest firmware in the router?
DynDNS is one of those aspects within routers that *has* seen changes
- Is your router listed with any kind of support by DynDNS?
http://www.dyndns.com/support/clients/noncertified/
http://www.dyndns.com/support/clients/hardware/
- Is your router configured with DNS correctly (eg to use PlusNet's DNS servers, or as given by DHCP)
- Is there anything in your firewall settings that stops access?
My bet is the firmware. I found this comment on a YouTube video description:
"Also near the end, there is the DynDns Error, which is in F/W ver 1.01.01 to 1.01.06 - I'm not sure about newer, but .06 was the latest at time of upload.
The router only seems to screw up at dyndns because at time of F/W release, dyndns had .org, now they redirect .org to .com and the poor little router dosent seem to like the redirect."
Thats with a Belkin F5D8633, so your version numbers might be different.
@spraxyt and @jelv: I suspect that crusty did a manual update of DynDNS (ie typed the IP address into the website). So when we do an nslookup, DynDNS is responding properly with that manually-entered data, and not an IP that should be automatically updated by the router.

I wouldn't take a lot of notice of the DynDNS hardware lists as they don't give the Netgear DG 834 (v1) which I have been successfully using for years!

I think you're right, a firmware upgrade is what I need to do but as my flight leaves in a couple of hours I will leave it until I get back. Hopefully IP will stay the same while I'm away.
Thanks for all the help and have a good Christmas.

HI crusty,
If you do lose the IP address while you're away, you can always ask us here for it and we'll go onto your account and PM it to you.
