Re: Getting 0.22Mbps download speeds. Can someone help?

Your line has been capped - God knows why
It may be picked up here and reset but in the meantime you need to raise a fault at https://faults.plus.net
Have you had major instability problems, are you sure that all items other than the router attached to the phone line are filtered
Do you have a modern master socket

Re: Getting 0.22Mbps download speeds. Can someone help?

Everything is set up correctly. Nothing has changed since yesterday when I was getting at least 3-4mbps (not great but better than 0.20).
Just all of a sudden it's gone down to 0.20 and I can't do anything about it.

Re: Getting 0.22Mbps download speeds. Can someone help?

I go through all of the questions on that page, answering that my broadband is slow and then I get this message at the end:
Thanks for confirming that your broadband is working
If you have a problem with your broadband in the future, please come back to report it again.
I'm aware that my broadband is on and I can connect to the internet..... It's just going extremely slow!

Re: Getting 0.22Mbps download speeds. Can someone help?

I haven't used the fault report for a while so I can't help there but if you were only getting speeds of 3 - 4 Mb/s then that shows a problem given your attenuation
EDIT
Just tried raising a speed fault and after going through all the steps I got to the point where they may have to send an engineer because I am on fibre
I suggest trying again and this time make sure you always click the "it isn't solved" button

Re: Getting 0.22Mbps download speeds. Can someone help?

Did you manage to get a fault registered?
Are you connected by ethernet cable to the router and is the router connected to the test socket inside the master socket via a filter.
It is no use saying it worked yesterday and nothing has changed - any of filter/router/ line/ wifi card/ ethernet card could have given up on you.
Rebooted the PC/laptop.
You can get a few more stats  see here
There is a hidden 'expert user' page which you can visit 192.168.1.254/expert_user.html    for extra pages. (change to use your IP if different. PN default seems to be 192.168.1.254).
To get more detailed line statistics, in the left hand menu, click Device Info -> Summary -> Statistics -> xDSL

Re: Getting 0.22Mbps download speeds. Can someone help?

I had a simliar problem a few weeks ago, where my line got capped at 0.20mbps... for some reason (a day of bad weather) my target SNR margin got set at 26dB (when usually it had been at 6dB for years). Try checking your current target SNR to see if it's above the common 3dB, 6dB, 9dB, etc. This is one of the main factors that determines your sync speed. In the end i requested a target SNR reset here in the forums, and the guys from Plusnet reset it within the same day, which sorted out the problem straight away.

Re: Getting 0.22Mbps download speeds. Can someone help?

Yes, I've registered the fault now.
It is connected by ethernet and those are all the things I tried first, I've tried with various different cables and different computers, they all give the same results.
It is plugged in to the master socket and yes it does have a filter.

I can see there's an engineer booked for Wednesday, hopefully they find the issue and it stops your line from disconnecting so often;

Re: Getting 0.22Mbps download speeds. Can someone help?

BT Engineer has come over to the house and fixed the line.
Speeds are still slow though (0,20 mbps).
The engineer said that PlusNet may need to reset the speeds so if that is the problem, can someone reset it please?

I've requested the reset, it normally takes a few minutes to go through.
