Quote Download speedachieved during the test was - 6073 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 1200-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 832 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7150 Kbps
That looks a lot better than yesterday's test! IT can in a reasonable time as well.

Closing the password box, without entering my password then takes me to http://192.168.1.254/cgi/b/dsl/dt/?be=0&l0=1&l1=0 where I receive the message "HTTP/1.0 401 Authorization Required."
Note to self: Must stop thinking aloud.

Quote from: linux I tried disabling the firewall on my router (should be OK since my PC has no open listening ports) and tried the test again. It still failed. Since I don't use antivirus or any other firewall, my feeling is that this problem is not related to antivirus/firewall software.
Yes linux, I aggree with your conclusion. I have previously tried similar measures with the same negative results.

But it might prove conclusively whether or not this is a simple accounting bug.
Why does the BT speed tester need a telephone number or service ID? The world wonders.
