Hi gdmr1 and welcome to the forum.
Firstly are you connected to an exchange that is enabled for ADSL2? you can check this on
http://www.samknows.com under "Exchange Search"
If you are then you might want to raise a ticket to request the change as it might not happen automatically. I believe a change from ADSL to ADSL2+ should take about a week after the order has been placed with BT.
However saying that, I had an email from plusnet on the 15th March telling me that my exchange was 21cn enabled and that I would be upgraded

It didn't happen and on the 21st April I got the same email again. So I'm not holding my breath.
