Intermittent dial tone

I have an intermittent dial tone but no messages when I dial 1571.

I have had the same problem a couple of times. In fact it happened again yesterday.

I found that if I sent a message to my home phone from another phone and then deleted it, the dial tone returned to normal.

Worth a try to see if it works for you.
