Transferring domain out

One of my domains is going to be moved out and I need to work out the best way of minimising the down time. The company who is going to host the domain is suggesting that registration is transferred to their registrar so that they can redirect traffic back over the existing site and forum until the migration.
If I do a transfer out via the portal won't that mean that PN will immediately stop hosting as well and so I'd then need to ask for the domain to be hosted?

Assuming it's a .uk domain, then the zone records at this side will be dropped when you request the transfer. We could change the IPSTag manually and leave the zone records for a bit but in order to do this you'd need to raise a support ticket explicitly requesting that things are done that way.
