occasional use of Remote Assistance on BBYW option 1

Hi
Due to what I do for a living, I tend to be a source of free technical support for friends and family.
Now this does sometimes necessitate the use of remote assistance as its often quicker for me to sort it than to guide them over the phone.
Now I know VPN use is banned on option 1 but does this extend to Remote Assistance too?

It's not banned - only limited to 128kbps

A lot of people I know are using talktalk so that should be enough

We're actually looking at reviewing the rate limits on Option 1, but it's unlikely to be today, given that it's a Monday.

Never make decisions as important as this on a Monday, always leave it until Tuesday as nooone functions well on a Monday.

I only say that because Mondays are our busiest day in terms of bandwidth consumption

Even at 128k, RDP will work fine on Opt 1 at that speed. I know. I've tried it once or twice
It's great when your friends and family call on you for "free" help

Yeah despite the fact that after me telling them that as I do it for a living my standard fee would be £15 an hour, it don't stop them!
Really must get round to getting a premium rate number directed to my mobile that I can give to the ones that ask most often...

Why directed to your mobile, that would cost more wouldn't it, so less profit?

True but until the cash really started to roll in I'd still have to work (least for a month anyway )
