Re: Unreliable connection

Hi stathe,
I've tested your line and it looks like your line profile is set to 6dB SNR margin which is a little low considering the high loop loss.  This low SNR margin is likely causing the drop outs and the variable speeds.  I have initiated an SNR reset which will retrain your line over the next ten days in order to re-stabilise your line.  Please monitor your connection and let us know if the problems continue.  Bear in mind initially you will likely see some drop outs and fluctuations in your speed during the training period.

Re: Unreliable connection

Has it recently rained a lot in your area?  I find my broadband loses speed after heavy rain.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: Unreliable connection

Hi there,
Looks like it jumped up to 1250 at about 8pm last night, have you noticed an improvement there? Should be working a lot better now, hopefully.

Re: Unreliable connection

Check Current line speed in this Member Centre page. That needs to match your IP Profile.
If that says 1250kbps/1.25Mbps I suggest disconnecting from Plusnet using the router's web interface, then reconnect. There should be no need to reboot the router (which would cause a re-sync and might lead to a lower sync speed).

Re: Unreliable connection

Your download speed should be higher than that. Wonder if there's a profile mismatch across BT systems? That's something Plusnet would have to check. Looks like a 'wait until tomorrow' job.

Re: Unreliable connection

No better this morning as here, though I cant say I understand very much , a big disconnection last night and a short power cut, this router soon reconnects, I will wait and see, I think it is a line deterioration
