Hi All
I've got a very slow upstream speed.
My upstream sync speed has been 443 Kb/s since joining Plusnet. I thought that it was a little slow, but maybe that was just a plusnet thing.
Since I've been reading these forums I have noticed that other people are getting upstream speeds in excess of 1 Mb/s, so I started investigating.
First step was to read James' guide.
Then I looked at my router stats (Netgear DG834), attached below
Then the BT speed test again attached
And lastly the assured rate test.
The first thing that I noticed was the upstream noise margin 32db.
Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can get that down?
The next thing, was the weird result of the assured rate test.

I know I'm paying for Pro, the billing department know I'm paying for Pro, but BT don't.
I'd appreciate any thoughts and suggestions.

Hi Steve,
Our supplier's system that we use to place the orders is currently unavailable. I will try again before I go home but if it's still the same I'll have to wait until morning.

I didn't realise it was capped, I thought it was a technical issue, but thanks for having a go at sorting it.
Do you have any idea about the assured rate test result?

Hi Steve,
yes, some orders are capped on provision. As far as I know the assured rate is for something to do with BT vision and if you have it, it will run two tests. I think the test it runs for us is the best effort one.

Would you mind uncapping my upload as well? I would have started a new thread, but it seems pointless judging by the volume of uncap requests you get.
