You could upgrade to unlimited for free - your contract will restart from the date you change, but if you've only just changed that shouldn't be a major issue.

If the 10GB per month is Plusnet Value, we have been told that it is possible to upgrade later to Unlimited and the contract end date will remain unchanged. (Although a downgrade from Unlimited to Value would mean restarting).

ive had problems trying to download hd with the new desktop player. when i click download on the webpage it just takes me to the page to download the desktop player again and also i had a program downloaded and when i booted desktop player up next day it said it expaired and deleted it checking website the programe was still avalable.
but that off topic but thought it worth saying as at the mo that would make this impossable

Try get_iplayer for scheduled downloads, it can be run from a cron job (or a windows scheduler) and the latest version supports the HD feeds.

I use it mainly for radio, I have several searches setup and just run it as get_iplayer --pvr --subdir, so that it does the searches then "saves" then under the correct pvr setting. I use the "" as it is a bit temperamental in saving them there.
