About 4 days back we had thunderstorms which was causing short power outages and adsl outages.
The download speed dropped back to 1.7 from 2.5.
I expected it to recover but it has not.
Can you check what my line is showing as please and bump it back up. Thanks.
P.S. I have had 3mbit download in past when DS Trained Rate was a little higher (Think it was around 3500) - what does it need to be to get 3mbit?
US Trained Rate: 448 kbps
DS Trained Rate: 3232 kbps
Current US data rate during last 30 sec: 353.356 kbps
Current DS data rate during last 30 sec: 43.276 kbps
Local Line Attenuation: 63.0 dB
Remote Line Attenuation: 31.5 dB
Local SNR Margin: 6.0 dB
Remote SNR Margin: 12.0 dB

Hi
IF you look up on this table here http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/IPprofile.htm#IP_and_bRAS_profiles you will need to connect at 3424 kbps to increase your profile, try connecting/reconnecting between 10:00 and 14:00 for best possible connection speed.

There are two possible problems
The first is that the BT IPprofile hasn't increased - you can only check this using the BT Speed Test - further diagnostics - but it should be 2850kbps on 21CN
The second is that the Plusnet profile hasn't caught up https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed - it should be 2.8Mbps
As you are apparently on 21CN (from your earlier thread http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,109901 ) the second is almost certainly the problem
One thing which is concerning - previously you reported an attenuation of 58dB and now 63dB - have you changed routers

Thanks.
It is a different router. We are having issues of smartphones vs routers... very perplexing.
Anyway... the plus.net link is showing as
Phone exchange:
CASTLETON
Estimated line speed:
1.0Mb (Download speed could vary depending on line conditions. Estimates are the maximum speeds that your phone line can support. These speeds are dependent on the package you choose.) - Checked on 2013-07-12 17:49:47
Current line speed:
7.15 Mb
BT is showing as 1.96 download and 0.36 upload.
I think I am on 20CN based on this for my echange http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/?exchange=Castleton%20(N%20Yorks)&exact=3097
What next?

Odd given the comment by Chris Purvey in the thread I linked to
You need to carry out the BT speedtest again and this time continue to Diagnosic to get the IP profile
But I have a gut feeling that it is stuck at 2Mb given that Plusnet haven't received a delta report

Thanks.
It had a graph showing 1.79 of Max Achievable 2Mbps then following
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.79 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-2 Mbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :3.17 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 1.75 Mbps

It should have increased by now
I would suggest posting back here on Tuesday if it hasn't changed as The Digital Care Team may need to bounce it into action
