Live Mail setup

How does one setup Live Mail accounts?
I have got the default account username@*******.plus.com working on incoming and outgoing OK but not the incoming e-mail to my domain address.
In Outlook express this was *****@lenshanger.co.uk for the address and  username+***** for account.
I can send from this account ok but I get asked for my username and password every time I try to receive.
Any help would be appreciated.
This is on windows 7 by the way .

Error returned is incorrect password entered when I eventually cancel after repeated attempts.

Hi Len,

Perhaps it's a silly question, but are you entering your full live email address as the username?

Presuming your domain is hosted on your Plusnet account then the incoming server address, username and password for the account would be exactly the same for your domain name as they are for the .plus.com address. The only thing you'd need to change is the email address in your account settings.

In case you weren't aware, anything sent to mailbox@yourdomain.tld would go to the same place as messages sent to mailbox@username.plus.com.

Sorry - I've confused myself.

I thought you were saying that your Windows Live email wasn't authenticating?

That's right , I'm trying to set up a new account in windows live for my ***@lenshanger.co.uk mailbox  . the domain is hosted by plusnet.
I set the e-mail address as ***@lenshanger.co.uk
I have tried to set the e-mail user name to username+mailboxname & username.plus.com+mailboxname ,both fail to authenticate saying a wrong password has been entered.
The password is  the same as my catchall account ( that one works OK)

username+mailboxname is the correct naming convention. You have one additional mailbox on your account and the password is *not* the same as your default one. Might be an idea to give the support guys a call to confirm what the correct details are?
