I don't think a timeout out a tracert is neccessarily a problem.  it could just be the router/hop doesn't reply to that type of traffic.
That address seems to resolve to more than one IP.  When I do a tracert I get a different IP address, which seems to work so far, but even then the response times are in the 2 and 300's

Have you tried a reboot mapletree? Also, do you know what DNS servers you're using for name resolution?

Flushing my DNS cache sorted it.  I wonder where it got the wrong address from.
