You need to read this document http://www.productsandser...ts/pdf/SpecialisedNos.pdf
You will see that the charges aren't all the same for 0871 and 0844 - you need to check the next 3 digits

Greenbee provide a call cost calculator. Perhaps it's an idea Plusnet could copy!

Still no answer?

A comment too about the calculator idea would be good as it appears many firms are now moving to 0844 where they used to use 0845

Interesting how staff here respond so quickly sometimes and sometimes not at all. In essence this would seem a simple thread for a reply.

Sorry, I didn't see the post before (I can only reply to the ones I see!).

I'll ask Mand what the actual charges are and get back to you once I have an answer.

Sorry Alan.

There's no actual answer because the prices themselves vary so much depending on what the fifth number is on the telephone number.

You'll need to find out the code of the call and the prices are shown in the Specialised Number Call Tariff section.

You'll need to find out the code of the call and the prices are shown in the Specialised Number Call Tariff section.

You'll get the code of the call from here under the column marked "charge rate".
