Guys - If you change the realm from "sip.plus.net" to "newsip" and this should work as per the convo I just had with Roger.

Doesn't work for me... is this because I'm on the WBC trial?

Yep, that's about what I did and it worked for me.

Odd that it ONLY seems to affect the Nokia SIP Client though. Maybe all the others aren't so picky...

Adie - That shouldn't make any difference.

Can you double check that you are using "newsip" and not "newsip.plus.net".

Adie, Did you change it on both the registrar and the proxy server configuration ?

Not all will devices will do a URL challenge. As my Nokia is not an easy device to configure as it has to done on a PC and I could not easily run a diagnostic to see what Gradwell was returning I left the field blank which on my phone accept any URL returned.

Are PN and Gradell ISO900 regiestered? If they are perhaps their procedures should be look at to stop this in future.

His birthday was last week....

Interestingly my Grandstream doesn't have a realm setting on it.

We are.  I'm not sure about Gradwell.

So what does your procedures say about your suppliers changing product specifications without PN knowledge?

I know plusnet wont like this comment but

I have given up calling in about any VoIP problem either you get told sorry don’t know how it works so cannot help you, or no problems this end you must have changed your settings and the worst we called Gradwell and you find out 3 days later that plusnet had not contacted Gradwell at all.

I know those of us who are on old contracts don’t pay extra for the VoIP service so problems with VoIP are put on the back burner and plusnet deal with revenue making problems first.
Please note I have never flipped my second hom/ sorry internet provider and have been with F9 since the very first day but things are going downhill with VoIP service.

At least I don’t get much spam now so there’s good reason to stay with plusnet Smiley

If you ask Gradwell, they'll be able to tell you that they heard from Plusnet quite a few times today Wink

@itsme, I just tried leaving the realm field blank on my N95 and it wont register.
It seems to need at least the realm field setting correctly for the registrar server but perhaps not the proxy.

@taras,
Are you sure you only changed the'realm' field and didnt accidentally change the registrar and/or proxy address ?
Other possibility is that the E75 has a later SIP client than the N95 ( not sure on the 6300i ) or maybe, like most other sip clients, it doesnt bother to check the realm returned in the '407 authorise response'.
