The purpose of this forum is to provide a focal point to support migration of the userbase to the IronPort anti-spam and anti-virus system. The forum is managed by full members of the Plusnet UserGroup (PUG) under the coordination remit set out in its (Rules).

Migration of the userbase to IronPort will take place over a very tight timescale. To ensure this is kept on track the forum needs to focus clearly on its purpose - supporting that migration, identifying problems and their solutions. Experience from elsewhere has shown that a disciplined approach is needed from everyone involved to achieve that aim; in particular topics work best when restricted to 'single issues' with the topic title describing that issue. Moderators may re-title topics at their discretion to make the topic issue clearer. If an issue is already known please add comments to its topic. If not (or if in doubt), a new topic should be started.

Within a topic issues sometimes divide into what turns out later to be significantly different sub-issues. Discussion can then be difficult to follow and splitting out the sub-issues proves desirable. This is easier for a moderator to accomplish if users restrict individual posts within a topic to a single sub-issue; i.e. please make two posts one after the other if you want to comment on each of the sub-issues.

Posting in this forum is subject to the same general rules as elsewhere, though moderation will usually be by PUG. Off-topic comments, particularly general chat can quickly lead topics astray, so please avoid them.  Apologies if moderation mistakes are made; hopefully there won't be many of these but please let us know if mistakes are made so that we can rectify them.

Thanks to everyone for their cooperation, and here's to a successful implementation.  Smiley
