That's odd. I was wondering if your 4pm one could be related to mine... but there is no overlap in the timings... yours failed around 16:07:04 and was back online by 16:17:58, whereas mine failed at 16:22:19 and kept failing until 16:41:31. Still mystified as to my outage...
Mike,
I guess they might still be related in some way. I have no means of knowing exactly when mine failed ( assuming it did ) since the C475 IP phone has no logging facility. As you say the tests seemed to work ok, although in my case it sent the email to my office address despite me having changed the email on my voip account before I did the test.

Certainly its looking a lot better than it was...

The SIP ID 8xxxxxx which has been connected since 2009-01-15 13:59:06, went offline at 2009-01-20 18:20:33.
The IP address your account was connected from was 80.229.xxx.xxx and identified as Ninja GlobalIPTel.
Odd cos I haven't used Ninja Lite for a few days and my C475IP has been registered all the time.

Voip control panel says offline 'registration expired at 2009-01-20 14:42:54'
C475 says 'registered' .I just called my voip line and the C475 rang!!!

I've had a couple in the last two days, but then I lost internet access for a few hours yesterday during the pipe outage, so that is to be expected.

However since I reconnected to the net, my phone has been a bit flaky.
Might be related to this service status posting

My router says I am authenticated in my router but no phone calls and voip.plus.net shows me offline since 4am this morning. The logs show the router stopped trying to connect last at 4am this morning too (so looks like it's been off all today). Just tried rebooting the router and now getting "Auth issues", which is sort of progress! Looks like that backend issue at Gradwell might be still ongoing, and if so, mine might be an account affected by it. Either that, or my VOIP router has lost some settings somewhere (or maybe a combination of both).

I'm not going to change any settings here until the morning, when I am sure the service is working! No point messing up a working config during an outage! Equally, if the service is working again, then I will need to start playing at this end.

@xp, Thanks for thats , I hadnt seen that service status, I'd seen one the other day but that said it was fixed!!.

The new one was probably the cause of my offline's, seems ok now...

I have received an e-mail saying that my Broadband Phone went off-line last night and searching the forum turned up this thread.

The e-mail says:

We have noticed that your Broadband Phone account has recently gone offline.

The SIP ID 1234567 which has been connected since 2009-05-03 09:47:41, went offline at 2009-05-04 04:04:08.
The IP address your account was connected from was 11.222.333.444 and identified as X-Lite release 1100l stamp 47546.

The Broadband Phone control panel is reporting:

Status 11.222.333.444 , expired at 2009-05-04 05:54:42, logged into v-sip-1
SIP Device A580 IP021840000000
SIP Server sip2.plus.net:5060

Note that the e-mail is saying I was connected with X-Lite and the Broadband Phone control panel my A580IP. I haven't used X-Lite for a while.

My phone seems to be working normally and according to the A580IP config screens is registered ok.

I've seen something similar to that in the past Bob. Some form of glitch where the system times out your registration before it should do and it takes a few minutes to realise that the phone has reregistered. It also seems to get confused as to the device that is registered when you have had 2 devices registered at the same time in the past.
I assume your account is showing registered ok now ?

In your Broadband Phone profile you can set email alerts for when your phone goes off-line (or you turn your computer off). Check what the status is. If you have not received an email before you have it turned off or your phone has been constantly on-line
The email you received seems rather random and not related to your current set up or status. I would ignore it.

This thread came about when people where getting multiple erroneous emails and follows the work through with PN to resolve the issue.

Yes, I've just checked again and it's now showing as on-line:

Status 11.222.333.444, expires at 2009-05-04 10:41:59, logged into v-sip-1
SIP Device A580 IP021840000000
SIP Server sip2.plus.net:5060

As far as I  know I had no interruption to service i.e. my phone was working all the time.

@Santiago, as you say it looks like a random erroneous e-mail.

This has started happening again. Does anyone else see it, or am I alone?

Hi all,

We've not had anything from Gradwell on this, would you be able to raise a ticket on your account please with details of what's happening? Once we have that we'll be able to raise it up for investigation.

Yes, I will raise a ticket. It will be tomorrow now as I am busy this evening.

Well, the ticket was raised but there has been absolutely no response. The spurious messages also seem to have stopped, for the moment.

However, yesterday my router went offline but there was no message about the (genuine) account going offline. I have checked my account details and the box asking for such notifications to be sent is still ticked. So, there definitely still seems to be a problem of some sort.

While this was going on my neighbour was unable to make any calls because his account was out of credit I checked his call log and had made 1 call for 18 minutes in his billing month, he had this message twice now!

I am embarrassed because I recommended him to Plusnet and this is the 3 time he's had ago at VoIP because of problems he's thinking of dumping it again its unreliable and too  much hassle his words not mine

Well, the problem stopped for a few days and the only response I got from Plusnet was someone answering from a script and clearly had not understood the original problem at all. Not wishing to have to explain to them why it could not be a firewall problem (the main suggestion) and with no others seeming to be having the same problem, I decided to cancel the ticket.

Then the spurious messages started again. The latest today allegedly happened while I was using the phone so I am absolutely certain that it never went offline:-

The SIP ID xxxxxxx which has been connected since 2009-11-09 13:04:19, went offline at 2009-11-09 13:11:54.
The IP address your account was connected from was xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and identified as SpeedTouch 716.
