As a follow to this I thought I'd share a couple of graphs from the traffic during the game. The first graph is traffic from the BBC:

As you can see there's a fair spike of traffic during the game, very likely people listening online to Five Live.

The second graph shows "other UDP" traffic, this is traffic that we don't have a signature for. Again you can see a big spike in the usage which this time will almost certainly be people watching the game online:

Even though this traffic was in silver looking at the graphs the performance should have been pretty good, the latency on silver traffic was pretty low. To allow this the network would have decreased the speed a little on bronze traffic.

Oooo, pretty stats Wink

Good view on things Dave - it's nice to be able to visualise things, and prove that your predictions are true.

Crystal ball next? Wink

Traffic is very different to the game last Saturday too, I didn't take a screen grab of the graphs then but the BBC graph is pretty flat and there's a very small amount of other UDP traffic.

All hinges on when the game is on and on what channel, put on the Beeb at the weekend and people will watch the TV, on Sky during work hours and people will listen/watch online, probably at work.
