On Sunday 31st July, a Plusnet team will be taking part in Jane Tomlinson's Run For All in York. Fletch, Nick Rawlings, Luke Ager, Chris Hemmings, Andy Oxenham and John Bowles will be stepping up to the helm in in a bid to raise money for Plusnet's charity of choice this year, the Alzheimer's Society. In keeping with our Sheffield roots, we've agreed with the charity that all the money we raise will be put back into work within Yorkshire. We're also hoping to take the title for the Corporate Team Event. We've set ourselves a fundraising target of £750, and thanks mainly to the generous folk here at Plusnet Towers, we're already at 89% of our target! You can help us smash that target though by showing your support and donating online here. Good luck on the day guys! Update: Well, the Plusnet Team put in a sterling effort in the end. The impressive performance saw each team member beating the hour mark and we achieved 8th spot in the overall Corporate Team Challenge. Nick was the first Plusnetter past the finish line in 45 mins, 22 seconds, which gave him an individual placing of 280th in a field of 6,000. A great effort and to date the team has raised £924 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
