Issue 28 of Plus, the Plusnet Newsletter

September 21st, 2010 at 10:31 by Nick Savage

Welcome to the latest edition of Plus
Hello there.

This issue we’ve come up with a couple of practical ways to save you money. You can get 3 months’ free broadband for recommending a friend (and they’ll get 3 months’ free too). And we’ve put together a great offer with dabs.com. It’s our way of saying thanks to you for being a Plusnet customer.

3 months free

3 months free broadband for you and a friend. Our treat.

Sounds like a tempting offer, doesn’t it? Well, until the 10th October, when you recommend a friend to Plusnet we’ll give you 3 months broadband completely free*. On top of that, we’ll give your friend 3 months free broadband too^.

That’s all in addition to your usual monthly referral discounts. To get the offer, make sure your friend signs up using this link:

Don’t forget to give your Plusnet username to your friend so you get your discount. When prompted, your friend will need to enter the special code ‘refer3′ to get their 3 months free.

dabs.com

Plusnet teams up with dabs.com to help you get your technology fix with a £10 voucher

We’ve been talking to dabs.com recently to negotiate a better deal for you on all the latest technology you might want for your home, to help you get the most of your Plusnet connection. So for a limited time, if you spend over £150 at dabs.com, you’ll get a voucher for £10 off.

If you’re thinking of buying any technology worth over £150, head over and see if dabs.com have it in stock (they have more than 20,000 products, so it’s likely). If you enter the voucher code “PLUSNET750″ during your order, you’ll get £10 off the price – just make sure you use it before 30th September. It’s valid for most things on the site – netbooks, laptops, hard drives, MP3 players, computer components, and a lot more besides. Check the terms and conditions to find out more.

Spotify

Spotify competition winner: Librivox – Have someone else read you the classics!

A few weeks ago, we asked you if you wanted to write a blog for us, with the best one being published here. Thanks to all of you who sent in an entry since then – it’s been great to read through some of the ideas you’ve been talking about!

There could only be one winner though, and that person was Maria MacCallum. She’s recieved her 6 months’ free Spotify subscription for telling us all about Librivox, which supplies free audio books. We really enjoyed her article – to read it for yourself, just visit the blog at community.plus.net.

Help Assistant

How to get the most out of your connection with the Help Assistant

At Plusnet, we’re always trying to make sure that when you need help with our service, you can get it. It’s also understandable that not everyone has a lot of time spare to get in touch, and that a lot of people would rather sort out a technical issue online.

That’s why we’ve always put so much emphasis on our online support. If you find yourself needing help with your Plusnet service, just head on over to our Help Assistant. It will take you through some simple questions and find the answer in our extensive and user-friendly online support guides – we’ve even redesigned it recently to make it even better. If it can’t find your answer there, you can put your question to our expert support team.

Once we have worked out what the issue is, we’ll send you back an answer. The full history will always be there for you to read, and if you have more questions you can always write back to us. This way you can get the problem fixed when it’s convenient for you, and you’ll always have the answer there in writing should you need to come back to it later.

Check out our help and support section, and our help assistant, here.
