New Usenet platform is launched!

August 3rd, 2007 at 09:46 by Bob Pullen

The new Usenet platform is now live and available at news.plus.net!

This morning we switched the DNS to point to the new servers. Whilst this may take a day or so to fully propagate around the Internet, by tomorrow everyone should be making and reading posts to and from the new server instead of the old one.

There’s more details regarding the DNS switch over on Service Status and you can see the last two blog posts about the News servers here and here.

Thanks to those of you who helped to test the new server. Your feedback was all taken on board and we hope that you’ll be happy with the new service.

Happy posting!

Bob
