It's absolutely doing my head in I recommended a friend a while back to plus net, which he is now up and running, it's a nightmare trying to give this information to plus net so I can get my redemption! If it goes much longer I want be able to get anything! It would be nice to have an email address when I could contact somebody about it!

Login to your account using this link - I have a problem with Referrals
Explain that you have made a referral, and mention the username of the person that you referred.
Then get the person you referred to use the same link to raise their own support ticket, and get them to state that you referred them.
That is all you need to do, and the referral will be manually applied to your account.

Thanks for that I'll give that a go, pity they couldn't make it more easier on the main website.

@MW45
Thanks for your feedback on that and sorry you had difficulties finding help, if you get stuck with anything again try searching here https://portal.plus.net/help/ that should point you in the right direction (i.e point you to raising a support query/calling in/send you to the right help page) failing that you can always post on the forum as you've done here and a member of the online community such as Purleigh or a member of staff like myself will usually be around to help, I can see that you've raised a ticket now so our customer support guys will pick that up and get back to you ASAP.

Only 50p for my referral are you having a joke? The email I got said £5.50 a month off your bill, even sky gives you £70 in vouchers for each person you recommend this is a joke! Definitely won't recommend anyone else!

Re: Nightmare trying to get redemption for recommending a friend!

The ongoing referral values have never been that high, they are usually 25p per month or 50p per month. To give £5.50 for each referral means we wouldn't be in business as we'd be losing huge amounts of money when you consider that some people have 10, 25, 50 or more referrals.

Re: Nightmare trying to get redemption for recommending a friend!

Thank you for your reply, but the email I received said refer people receive up to £5.50 discount per person, it wasn't worth the hassle I went through for 50p, but never mind would never recommend anyone else, only been with plus that 3 months it's been a nightmare! Be glad when the contracts up.

Just to add to the above, no worries about the PM - we've found it and will get it looked at, thanks for the heads up. For reference though you will get higher referral values for Business accounts than you do for residential.

Re: Nightmare trying to get redemption for recommending a friend!

Not to worry, but things should be made a hell of a lot more clearer, 50p a customer is taken the piss!!! Especially when sky gives you £70 in vouchers per person, one thing though definitely will not recommend anyone again!

I'd rather have a small but regular amount knocked off my bill.

I'd like to get "regular" discounts but the system is rubbish.
Even the help pages are out of date!
The current system LIES! Crazy

I can assure you we're not lying! If you can let me know the issue you've had with referrals I'll get someone to take a look and see what's going on.

Re: Nightmare trying to get redemption for recommending a friend!

My Questions (and the rubbish replies) have disappeared so I can't quote them; there is a WHOLE HOST OF QUESTION AS TO WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THIS SYTEM but as PN is purging them it makes it very difficult to deal with!!
However the simple fact is that I've not had discounts applied to my monthly bills vis:
Invoice Value Balance Invoice Date Status Description
43175934 £-4.00 £0.00 30/07/2013 Credit Note Account Credit Note
43048103 £15.73 £0.00 24/07/2013 Fully Paid Scheduled Payments
42332396 £15.73 £0.00 24/06/2013 Part-Paid Scheduled Payments
42239144 £-3.00 £0.00 20/06/2013 Credit Note Account Credit Note
42239138 £-0.75 £0.00 20/06/2013 Credit Note Manual spending of referral tokens by
41625138 £15.97 £0.00 24/05/2013 Part-Paid Scheduled Payments
40927345 £15.73 £0.00 24/04/2013 Fully Paid Scheduled Payments
40236358 £15.73 £0.00 24/03/2013 Fully Paid Scheduled Payments
39558646 £15.73 £0.00 24/02/2013 Fully Paid Scheduled Payments
39286288 £-5.00 £0.00 12/02/2013 Credit Note Account Credit Note
I've received the £5.00 on the 18th Feb and the £3.00 on the 1st July directly into my bank account NOT a simple discount as repeatedly promised!
As for the "Manual spending of referral tokens by" on the 20/6 what the h**l is that?
As I said PN has "disappeared" my questions on this subject so I can't quote their pathetic replies.
This is the latest which is vague in the extreme: NO date and NO amount!

Dear Mr Stoner,
A partial refund on your previous invoice has been generated and will reflect in your account over the next 2 weeks at the latest. Should there be any other problems or queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards,

I've ceased using the Questions system as it is oh ***t life's too short to enumerate all it's failings BUT:
I changed to PN as I was sick of illiterate, technically inaccurate comms with other ISPs but PN is just as bad but different!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and the email notification that I set up on this thread isn't working either!!
