Text not sending as formatted incorrectly

I'm having a problem currently responding to any text messages from Barclaycard and get an error saying that the number is formatted incorrectly. One of the texts I needed to reply to was from their fraud department as I needed to confirm a transaction I was trying to put through. I had to use a different card with Halifax and had the same text request but the reply to them went through first time. Since then I've had a survey text from Barclaycard from a different 5 digit number and that won't let me reply either. I've tried adding 0044 and +44 to see if it makes a difference but no joy. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Forum

If it's a five figure short text number you cannot use them

PlusNet does not support them 

There are many many posts on here about it

Ah well at least that solves the mystery as the Halifax number was a full number, doesn't help me deal with Barclaycard fraud dept though. I'll take that up with them.

It's not Barclaycard's fault that PN don't support that function.

Take it up with them, not Barclaycard.

Barclaycard do have a fraud dept. number though, you could possibly use that to verify? 0800 318665
