New SIM, no data

I’ve read all the other posts and they are quite old which is why I’ve started a new thread.

I have an iPhone 8 and have just got a SIM with 10Gb data/month but get no data when I put my SIM in.

I was with Virgin so have removed my Virgin profile.

with the Plusnet SIM in I cannot access the APN but if I put my Virgin SIM back in I can, do I changed to the EE APN but still get no data with my Plusnet SIM.

I have no problem with data if I put my Virgin SIM back in.

without data my SIM is useless. I have asked to port my number across but am wondering if I should ask them not to port my number. Unless this can be resolved I do not want my number ported to a SIM I can’t use.

any ideas?

Hi  Confucious welcome to the Forum

 

This may help if you have not seen it already scroll down to    "What are the APN setting for my phone"

Make sure  you     Tap Menu, then Save
