How do I activate voicemail?

I've gone through the settings on my voice and recorded my name as a message.

However if I call my number after ringing for like 10 times, it just cuts out with no chance to leave a message.

Hi buzz!

If you input the code **004*+447870020555*11*30# OR **004*07870020555*11*30#  depending on your handset into your dial screen, this should enable your service.

Thank you that is exactly what is happening on my iPhone I call from another phone, it rings for so long then switches off without offering the option to leave a message
