Re: 6in4 IPv6 Tunnel natively on Technicolor TG582n

We believe the file download to actually be 10.2.1.8, even though the filename suggests otherwise. We are checking into this though.
That said, a new versions is available and we are testing this. It's primary test purpose relates to Easy Setup, but will offer IPv6 still. We are hoping to make this available soon.
In regards to logs, I can only suggest logging the output of a telnet session to the router. Connect via Telnet and hit CTRL+Q to start console output. Provided it does spit out any needed errors before it reboots, this should make it available to you from your local machine.

Re: 6in4 IPv6 Tunnel natively on Technicolor TG582n

I didn't take a note of the firmware version previously in the logger. Maybe the upgrade didn't work? I struggled to find an upgrade program for the logger, no disc came with it, but eventually I found one on the Be site. It appeared to work but perhaps it did not. Do PN make available a flash utility for the router?
I'm now capturing the output so let's see what that brings.

Re: 6in4 IPv6 Tunnel natively on Technicolor TG582n

This is the output when one tries to backup the router's configuration via the web interface
[quote=tg582n]
<37> Aug 14 15:17:26 LOGIN User Administrator logged in on [HTTP] (from 192.168.37.5)
<14> Aug 14 15:17:49 CONFIGURATION mbus atomic sync successful
[IGD-MBUS] igd1to1_getvalue_ds invalid value IP.Intf.6in4tunnel.LowerIntf='loop' (Invalid parameter value)
<14> Aug 14 15:17:50 CONFIGURATION failed to sync mbus igd
[config] configuration autosaved after delay

The only other time it's reset was when I had to reboot the PC and putty wasn't running, typical.

The flashing utility for Windows users linked in the TG585v7/v8 library article here should also work with the TG582n reference ...

The process to flash a router is quite simple, though is only available to windows users. Instructions can be found here which is applicable to the TG582n as well.

Re: 6in4 IPv6 Tunnel natively on Technicolor TG582n

I think my router is self aware, if I follow your link spraxyt and try and download the W7 program the router resets! It doesn't want to be flashed  Shocked
I'm too clever for it so I've just swapped browsers to see if that helped. Chrome == reset reset, IE9 64bit == good download. Off to play now and see if I can flash it again.

Re: 6in4 IPv6 Tunnel natively on Technicolor TG582n

Using the update tool pointed to by spraxyt also leaves me to believe your download is not the correct version. The tool shows this

That's not the version you're claiming is it? Seems to be 10.2.0.11.0.
Seems the tool also resets the router so flashing a new version may prove difficult Sad

Does it give any more information if you click the Firmware Details button?

I believe there's a new version that needs uploading, I'll nudge Matt in the direction of this thread and we'll let you know when it's done. Hopefully it'll be up this afternoon.

Done! Sorry about that, I've updated the link in my first post to point to a newer firmware version. 10.2.2.9!

Re: 6in4 IPv6 Tunnel natively on Technicolor TG582n

Just uploaded the firmware which didn't restore the configuration. So I tried the access key and it doesn't accept it ..
Tried:
user: Administrator
pw: access key
pw:
and pw : Administrator
with no luck.

Re: 6in4 IPv6 Tunnel natively on Technicolor TG582n

Having similar problems although I thought mine were all down to the router resetting when anything tried to read the configuration. The router is up and running after several goes but I can't login to mine either. Is there a new Administrator Password buried in the new firmware? I've had to go back to my old router now as this one is effectively useless Sad

I've already tried the usual suspects of admin/Admin/Administrator with passwords of blank/Admin/password with varying styles of capitals but have failed to login.
