Re: New Phone Line

That includes a full installation of a new phone line.
Not sure what you mean by other costs? If you mean ongoing costs, line rental is £11.25, and Anytime calls can be added for £5 per month.

Re: New Phone Line

Well she would need a broadband option, cheapest , and a minimal  call package, She would want to know the full monthly cost including line rental and broadband, plus of coarse the instalation cost.  How does this compare with B.T ? Thank you

Re: New Phone Line

The Products Panel on the Plusnet home page at http://www.plus.net/ (image attached) gives details of the cheapest phone and broadband package and what it includes. The notes towards the bottom of that page explain ongoing broadband costs depending on market area (1, 2 or 3 as defined by OFCOM). You can check the market area using the exchange checker here.
As stated on that home page broadband setup is free if the customer stays for 12 months. A Wi-Fi router is offered for £6.99 P&P with the rest waived if the customer stays for 12 months. Mand has given the price for installation of a new phone line and the monthly line rental charge which includes 'Evenings and Weekend' calls; as she stated the 'Anytime' call package costs an additional £5.
For BT costs referring to their New Phone Lines page is perhaps the best source.

Re: New Phone Line

BT will offer Free line installation if you phone up & agree to 18 month tie in.
This isn't available online; to get it you need to ring 0800 800 150, lines are open Monday to Friday 8am to 9pm, Saturday 8am to 8pm, Sunday 9am to 6pm. When you call, ask for the 'New line free connection offer'.

However BT broadband prices are a lot more expensive as spraxty link points out.
You can get Plusnet  free for 4  months via
http://www.plus.net/residential/4bbchoices.html
Plus £38 cashback if you take the Plus Phone option ( nearly pays for the £49.99 line installation)

Makes £££ sence to go with Plusnet
