FUll FIbre Availability - stupid question time

Am I right in thinking that if Full Fibre is available in my area, it would appear as an upgrade option under Offers & Upgrades, when I'm logged in to my Plusent account page?

currently, we're on FFTC, with a rubbish speed of 11-12Mbps as the copper from the cabinet about 500m away, takes a 1500m route to our house.

@JohnofYork

Put your phone number in here

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

You're looking for WBC FTTP in the left hand column. Below the results there should be a narrative about FTTP which should indicate if any problems are expected on install.

@JohnofYork  It should show up on your account but a lot of the Plusnet Member centre website is a bit dodgy.

Use the BT checker with your Phone Number or the address version....

You need to see WBC FTTP in the left hand column, not FTTPoD (very expensive)

@JohnofYork

If Full Fibre isn't currently available you can check here to see if OpenReach have any current plans for your area.

https://www.openreach.com/

If not, do an internet search for Ultrafast broadband in your area to see if any of the Alternative networks are about.

Re: FUll FIbre Availability - stupid question time

@bmc @RealAleMadrid

thanks.

sadly, BAC tells me that FTTP isn't available.

OpenReach doesn't have anything planned, either, which matches what the last OR engineer told me about it not happening anytime soon. They were also the one who explained that my (lack of) speed was down to the roundabout route taken by the link to the cabinet.

hey ho.

@JohnofYork

That just leaves doing a search to see if any of the Alternative suppliers are active in your neighbourhood.
