FTTC 82/20 Trial -Help me understand this please

OK
Went on the 80/20 FTTC trial last week.
Everything was fine and dandy and doing speed tests at www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk, d/l speed around 55Mbps and upload around 18Mbps, (my speeds on 40/2 were 37 / 1.8 ).
Rebooted my router once on the 1st day and speeds increased to 60 / 18. I had a quick look at http://www.speedtester.bt.com/ and this confirmed a profile speed of 66.5Mbps.
Then I changed product from Value fibre to Extra Fibre at midnight on Friday and it all seems to have gone haywire.  Cry
According to speedtests I appear to be on a 40 / 20 product (if this is indeed, at all possible!!!)  Sad
My d/l speeds are exactly the same as before the trial, down to a few Mbps and my upload speeds are similar to the trial (slightly lower at 15Mbps) and the actual data throughput is awful (streaming tv last night on Sky go was pixelated and stuttering).
Also, (but maybe not relevant) my pings have increased from 30ms to 50ms.
http://www.speedtester.bt.com/ reports the following.....
1. Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
Download Speed
1 Mbps

0 Mbps 56.13 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis  12 Mbps-56.13 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 56.13 Mbps

2. Upstream Test:  -provides background information.
Upload Speed
6.56 Mbps

0 Mbps 20 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 6.56Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps

This test was not conclusive and further testing is required. This might be useful for your Broadband Service Provider to investigate the fault.
If you wish to carry out further tests, please click on 'Continue' button. If not, please close the window using 'Exit' button and contact your ISP for further assistance with these results.
Its now saying I need to do a TAP3 test which I am about to do, but posting this 1st before I change my settings.
I'll be back . . . . lol

That's wrong. For people on the trial your current line speed should be set to 20 which is a special code to say no restriction. Ring up and ask for it to be corrected.

Thanks Jelv, can any agent do this or does it have to be the trials team? Would a ticket be better?

Re: FTTC 82/20 Trial -Help me understand this please

Any agent should be able to do it but it can be pot luck who you get, so it's worth a try. Other than that your best bet is probably this topic being picked up by one of the digital care team tomorrow.
