Hi guys, I'm new here.
I had ordered unlimited fibre extra. And the email said I should get speeds from 62-80mb.
But as it stands atm im get just below 40mb.
Is this because I have to wait for my line to settle?
Just a bit worryed i have spent extra then i shoulnt off.
Many Thanks

Hi thedarkmaster
Welcome to the forum.
Firstly for FTTC there is no settling in period, it is max speed from the start if everything is set up correctly. (ADSL has the 10 day speed up period)
A quick couple of tests to run to see if everything looks correct.
Run the test at http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/PerformanceTesterWS/diagnostics.do/ , just entering your phone number. This will show the IP profile that BTW has set up for your line.
Then check the Plusnet line speed at https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed , you will be asked for your Plusnet username and password.
If any of these are incorrect then contact Plusnet by web chat or phone for a quick response.
And finally, are your speed test wireless or via Ethernet cable? Plusnet ask for all speed tests to be done using a wired connection.
if you wish to post the results here for members of the community to offer further help, please ensure that you remove any identifying information such as your phone number or IP address

Thanks for the response.
I am connected via Ethernet cables
This is what plusnet website said
Estimated line speed:
80Mb (This may vary between 62.7Mb and 80Mb) - Checked on 2016-01-06 21:55:27
Current line speed:
42.6 Mb
And the BT one is showing the same .

Our tests aren't showing any issues.
I'd recommend raising a fault at https://faults.plus.net
